Cold Prey 2 (2008)
"Fritt Vilt 2" is undoubtedly an enjoyable and fast paced sequel, even if somewhat a predictable one. Where the original movie was mostly character development, in this sequel we get a bigger body count and more action and dynamic, and in these terms "Cold Prey 2" exceeds its predecessor. The story though didn't feel very intriguing, probably because in the first movie they were trapped in an abandoned hotel up in the mountains, where's in this one they are in a hospital in the small town near by. Despite the not-so-interesting location this time around, the story moves fast, and yet still manages to get in enough character development to give viewers a bit of interest for the soon to become victims. The new cast is not bad at all... in fact they are all good, but never reaches the high-points of the actors in the original movie. The technical aspects of the film are truly a work of art! "Cold Prey 2", much like its predecessor, is very slickly made with some stunning and very effective cinematography by Anders Flatland. The camera work and sound effects are simply great, and there are some fantastically well done and realistic gore scenes. And last but not least, Mats Stenberg's direction is nothing short of brilliant. Overall, "Cold Prey 2" is beautifully-shot, exciting, intense, and on par with its predecessor.

For sure I enjoyed this one. Cold Prey 2 spins so good. this sequel keeping things simple and direct, learning from past sequel mistakes and presenting a truly compelling heroine.
I was stunned by director's interesting choices and creative camera angles! Both films are so precisely-shot, it's a joy to watch. The other thing I really liked about Cold Prey was that it was never explained to us who the killer is, where he came from and what his motives are.
