Quick Review: Set against the wild and barren, yet beautiful backdrop of Australian outback, which takes such a big part of the film, it makes the sharp visuals just as important as its powerful, often gut-wrenching story of cruelty, violence, racism, the intentionally titled "Sweet Country" is mostly tough to watch, feel-bad, and everything but 'sweet', and despite the sluggish and demanding pacing, and unpleasant subject matter, it's a gritty and gripping revenge western with real genuine acting.
