Quick Review: Sweet, honest, bold and often amusing, this pleasurable book adaptation is all about, vanity, letting go of it, and finding yourself as a result, and it is an emotional journey driven by the ups'n'downs of the protagonist, played strongly by the Sanaa Lathan, who discovers herself through an unlikely romance and her strong bond with a little girl. Sure, "Nappily Ever After" is corny in parts, but all the emotions it evokes are very pure, and the message it delivers -- really moving.
