Quick Review: A fish-out-of-water coming-of-age story about a misift trying to find her inner confidence and boost her low self-esteem by getting out of her comfort zone, in a delightfully awkward manner, "Eight Grade" is an intimate, genuine and heartfelt look at one pre-teen girl's journey through self-discovey that is as emotional and humorous, as it's engaging to watch, mostly thanks to the fascinating lead performance by the young and gifted Elsie Fisher, who owns the whole film.
