I loved PERFUME (although the book is better) and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (mainly for Emily Blunt).
"Perfume" was one of the biggest movie-surprises of my life! :) I loved it much more than I thought! You liked just those two movies from my list, Dez? :)
Yes, only those two and the "Curse of the Golden Flower", which I saw yesterday again. It's a very unusual Asian movie, since it isn't really based solely on battle and fighting scenes. What I loved about it was the mix of golden and violet colours throughout the movie. I didn't like the ending, it was too disturbing and too tragic for my taste, I hate when evil wins.
Glad you liked it, Dez! I was totally captivated by the colors, the costumes, the accessories, the interior and exterior ... It was a lavish, richly deatiled and beautifully-filmed love story mixed with exciting action sequences. Yes, it doesn't relay on fighting, because Zhang perfectly knows how to balance a movie ;)It was a little too melodramatic at times, but that didn't bother me at all:)
