Quick Review: Make no mistake, "Their Finest" is a prettily-shot film -- everyhing from the true authenticity its period production design exudes to the smooth editing, sophisticated costumes and hazy cinematography is on point. However, in spite of its beauty, and Arterton alluring central performance, this film suffers from identity crisis, trying to be a wartime drama, romance, and love letter to cinema all at once, but fails to focus enough on either of these, playing it way too safe to succeed.
