Taken 2 (2012)
QuickRating: It's far from terrible, and it's even tense, exciting and thrilling during the action scenes, but "Taken 2" still relies heavily on the success of its truly memorable predecessor, and in spite of Liam Neeson's charismatic performance, and some very interesting shooting locations, this disappointing sequel doesn't really add anything new, or different, or sadly, even remotely refreshing to the original, hence, it feels overly familiar, and basically 'more of the same'. Bummer.

Most of the reviews I read said the same, which is why I skipped it in the theater.
Alex, it's watchable and worth a rent. I think that if you liked the first movie, you'll enjoy this one as well.
That's pretty much what I expected. Darn. I'll still watch it because Liam is irresistible, of course :).
Not a bad movie, but like you said it's basically the same movie again. I call it Taken Jr. If he ever leaves the US again, he deserves what he gets!!! Great review!
Michele, and so did I. It's not that bad... parts of it were really entertaining.
HorrO, lol, well-said. :)
No, not that bad at all, just not as impressive as the first one.
When I first heard of this, I thought what's the point? The first was all right, but a second was utterly and completely unnecessary. There was nothing remotely interesting about this movie, you were far too generous with that rating. :)
Mel, I wan't bored, I enjoyed Liam Neeson's performance, and I liked the location and the tensity of the film. That's why I was being generous. :)
