QuickRating: Slightly overrated due to everyone's nostalgia for the show and the franchise, but still a very welcome return on the silver screen, "The Muppets" is warm, sweet, joyous, moving and funny, plus, every single one of the songs is a real pleasure to listen to, and delightfully sang and danced by Amy Adams and Jason Segel, who also shine in their roles, though the star of the movie remains the one and only Miss"Fabulous" Piggy.

The Muppets: I have loved them & I have hated them. I'm sure it has to do with watching them over and over and over... as each of my kids went through the phase (and of course my own childhood phase.) Didn't the Muppets get their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, today or recently? I thought I heard that on the television while I was getting dressed this morning.
Alex Cavanaugh, one of my all time favorite bloggers, named your blog as his favorite NON WRITING blog during a Q&A on my blog. So I had to stop by and check it out. I am glad I did. I am very impressed with your site and impressed that Alex chose your blog as his favorite. I will definitely be back often.
Melissa, first of all, welcome to my blog. I'm glad you liked it that much, and I couldn't be more grateful to Alex for mentioning me and my blog so often. :) He's more than just a blogger to me. He's a great friend and also incredible person.
Thank you for the compliments and I'll be happy to see you here more often. :)
As for The Muppets, I've never actually been a huge fan of them. I like them, but that's it. :)
I don't, I don't remember either. I think they did, but I'm not entirely sure. I still reckon they deserve it though.
Melissa, thanks so much for visitin George's site!
I agree - the movie wasn't great. It was nostalgic for those of us who grew up with Muppets. I was a teen when The Muppet Show came out, so it's just part of my life. Always dug the films. Muppet Christmas Carol is the best.
Alex, thank you for mentioning me on Melissa's. :)
Glad you agree with me on this one. I expected a lot more, but for what it was, it was enjoyable and touching. I agree about Muppet Christmas Carol. It's definitely the best.
I thought it was one of the best of 2011 and I think I included it on my list if I'm remembering right. :) Oh well...
I do agree that you have one of the best blogs out there, hon and I'm happy to see you drawing lots of new followers.
Mel, I know you loved it, hon. I did too, just not as much as you. :)
Thank you, and Alex, and all the other readers and bloggers who love my site. It means the world to me!
I thought it was sweet, but I did want to like it more than I did. I loved all of the Muppet movies and shows growing up and I'd hoped for just a little more from this movie. Still liked it as I'm a sucker for Muppets.
My first reaction was to disagree with you, but actually you're right. I've heard that the people that love this film the most are older Muppet fans. My 3-year-old loves the movie though. Great film.
L. Diane Wolfe, exactly. I agree 100% with you. Still liked it though, just not as much as I thought I would.
Maurice, I was just honest. It was good and sweet and everything, but it didn't make a big impact on me. Still love the Muppets though.
