QuickRating: Bold, daring and graphic, if hardly unforgettable, "Shame" is a a simple and moody, yet somewhat mesmerizing portrait of a sex addict, that relies on its appealing, talented cast. Michael Fassbender delivers one of his best performances so far, and Carey Mulligan does a remarkable job as well, and the on-screen relationship between them is very tense and believable, and probably the most memorable thing about this movie.

One of the better films lately for me. I love this type of dark films.
I have been dying to see this just because it's Michael Fassbender and he's naked!! I don't need to know anything else. Oops, did I just type that out loud? ;)
All kidding aside this looks to be a terrific film because of some very talented actors and I love your summation.
Hans, I liked it, but if I have to be honest, I expected a lot more from it. I felt the same with the director's previous film Hunger. It was dark, but not dark enough to become a classic.
Mel, I actually wanted to mention that in my review: "Ladies will be pleased to see Fassbender full frontal" or something like that. He's very well-endowed I must say. I guess this statement of mine will make you wanna see it even more. LOL.
The film itself wasn't that great for me. I found it rather overrated.
