QuickRating: From Clint Eastwood's unbelievably heavy-handed direction, atrocious lighting and poor make-up, to the muddled pacing and incoherent narrative, everything about "J. Edgar" is a complete disaster. However, half way through, the movie puts itself back together and becomes easier to watch and much more gripping, plus, Leonardo DiCaprio's award-worthy performance saves it from being a total bummer of a film.

This never played in the islands. I have wanted to see it. On the Netflix list.
farawayeyes, I was slightly disappointed by this one. It was technically flawed and so uneven. I ended up liking it rather than hating it, so I decided to give it thumbs up. :) That said, I still think it's the weakest Eastwood film in his career.
