Quick Review: Although it doesn't always manage to avoid the typical genre tropes involving melodrama, "Chemical Hearts" works better as a portrayal of loneliness and grief as well as the struggle of being a teen, than it does as a love story, even if depicts affection and devotion in a sweet and genuine manner, which makes the whole romance develop slowly, but engagingly, thanks to the strong chemistry between the two young leads and a few solid twists and turns along the way.

Noticing that this is an Amazon movie, and that many have been released on a streaming service rather than the theaters, I wonder if this trend is now permanent and we will see far fewer releases in the theater in the future?
It seems like streaming is the future of movies, especially considering the success of WW84. Sadly, theaters are going to an end.
