Quick Review: It has a lovely pair of young stars that are a pleasure to look at, and it benefits from the NY setting that gives it a cool urban sense, but for a film that urges you to open your heart to fate, "The Sun is Also a Star" feels too forced and fabricated to convey its message convincingly, and even though it has its sweet moments and bitter ones, the whole 'romance for a day' meets 'immigration issues' mash-up never finds its smooth balance.

I like to call that contrived.
Alex, this word sums it up perfectly.
