Quick Review: It deserves some credit for putting a fresh spin on the genre with its Jewish folklore take on creature feature, the fairly authentic old-fashioned period design, and its semi-successful attempts in creating creepy atmosphere, but sadly, "The Golem"'s real misuse of the mythical creature which never shows its true form and the directing duo's unwise decision to rely on excessive gore instead on frights turn this at times captivating 'ancient' horror folktale into missed opportunity.
