Quick Review: Yet another poorly-conceived and gimmicky entry in the classic horror franchise, "Children of the Corn: Runaway" is for better or worse more focused on the likable and solidly-acted female protagonist and her personal struggles, rather than on the terror itself, and while the fans of creepy kids flicks might give it a chance, the rest will find the contrived plot-line as an excuse for some fake gore, which fails to mask the film's corny dullness.

Seems like a sequel over thirty years too late anyway.
Alex, they've been many sequels before this one... most of the unnecessary. :)
Can't say I'm that excited this franchise is back (it should have ended with Part 4!) but for what this is, at least it is an improvement over the last entry. (Which I was sure killed off this franchise for good!)
Me neither. I agree though, it was a slight improvement. Still a poor movie.
