Quick Review: Partly dealing with slavery, this one has a tiny bit more depth than most Tarzan movies, and the muddy, yet slick cinematography feature some beautiful scenic shots, and yet, Yates' latest ends up being an underwhelming bore that suffers badly from a lazy direction, muddled plot, so-so action, and unconvincing CGI work. SkarsgÄrd looks great, if a bit bland as the title character, but that is because he, and the rest, are all insanely underwritten.

You really have to work hard to make a unique Tarzan these days. This just reminds me too much of Greystoke. Which is why I skipped it. That and poor reviews.
It is, but then again, they could have add at least something original to make it more memorable. It was too wishy-washy, and not at all thrilling.
I'll watch it for the half-naked scenery, lol.
That you will be pleased with. :)
"Underwhelming" is right. It's too bad Tarzan was the least interesting part of his own movie.

It was, wasn't it? Dammit, the trailer was amazing, and I wanted the movie to be too.
Ah, tell me about it.... they completely wasted him.
