Quick Review: Flimsy, sugary, and rather insipid, "Mother's Day" is yet another lazy effort by director Garry Marshall who relies way more on the thematic gimmicks and the charisma and charm of the multiple-star cast, rather then the strong writing, which the script of this film definitely lacks, with the end result being an entirely forgettable 'humdrum' dramedy that fails to evoke any genuine emotion, or respectively laughter. The actors are doing good, but the thing is they all got little to work with.
