Quick Review: Without Del Toro's touch, this brainless sequel feels a bit derivative and rather fabricated, plus, it is louder, messier, and less epic in scale compared to the first, and yet "Uprising" delivers exactly what it promises -- a CGI-driven 3D extravaganza of monstrous Jaeger vs, well, Jaeger mayhem, saving the Kaijus for its immensely entertaining final twenty minutes full of explosive over-the-top action and spectacular mass urban destruction.

I was on vacation and didn't get to see it this weekend. Might just save it for a rental and enjoy it on my own big screen.
Alex, you didn't miss much. The special effects deserve to be seen on the big screen though. ;)
