Quick Review: A hybrid between a disaster flick, creature feature, and family drama, Aja's plainly-plotted, if expertly-crafted "Crawl" combines a dire hurricane, nasty alligators, and rain flood to deliver one horrifying, intense, and gory thrill-ride with as much bite as heart that favors from Scodelario's tough, yet stirring turn, the grisly gator attacks, and the fact that it's set in a narrow, waterlogged crawl space underneath an outworn old swamp house, which also makes it claustrophobic as hell.

I thought it veered into Sharknado territory in the last part of the film, but the scenes in the crawlspace were super effective.
Alex, I'd never put it in the same category as Sharknado, as I thought this one was one of the most brilliantly-crafted predator flicks purely on technical level.
I actually enjoyed this more than I expected. Aja and his sleeper comeback, hurray!
Me too! Very tense and well-made! Glad he's back.
