The Mermaid: Lake of the Dead (2018)

Quick Review: A misleading title, solid premise, and flimsy execution lead to a messy end result in this Russian creature feature, which has a real interesting story to tell, but it never really goes below the surface of its curious water nymph concept, providing only waek boo frights and fishy instead of creepy CGI imagery, and even though the characters are well-portrayed, the lack of an actual mermaid sinks its on-paper potential down to the very bottom.
