Quick Review: Certainly quiet, but sadly far from passionate, "A Quiet Passion" is a sluggish, chaotically-plotted biopic that aims to depict in details the life of enigmatic author Emily Dickinson in a subtle way, but the complete and utter lack of vigor makes it seem lazy in its approach, and not even Nixon's extraordinary performance, and the sophisticated period settings and costumes, which make it visually pretty, can't change the fact that this movie is a tedious experience to sit through.
