QuickRating: It starts out strong, with a tense and scary opening scene, than it somehow continues to maintain its vibe of mysterious creepiness right until the end, when it totally falls apart after the twist is revealed. In fact, it has two twists, but sadly none of them works - the first one is predictable, and the second hardly makes any sense at all. However, the always magnificent Clive Owen saves "Intruders" from being just a stinker with bad CGIs.

The reviews for "Intruders" have been pretty bad. At least what I've read so far, but I didn't think it was all that bad. I gave it a 6 rating myself.
Hans, the ending killed it for me. The video game-like special effects were so cheesy, they made ma laugh.
I was aware of the bad reviews, but I kept saying to myself: They must have gotten it wrong. Nope, they didn't.
I loved Owen in this one, and thought Carice van Houten did great as well. I love her, I just thought she was a bit underused here.
I just disliked this film beyond belief and it didn't anything new or cool for me at all really. Clive Owen needs to start making better calls on the roles that he gets shown. Good review.
Dan, I didn't hate it as much as you did, but I admit wasn't that good at all. It was all over the place, and the conclusion was deeply unsatisfying. I agree with you about Owen - he's a great actor and he should start picking his films more carefully. Thanks! :)
I have been wanting to see this and hope to soon. Sorry I haven't been around much, I am up to my ears in boxes, packing for my move and doing the A to Z Challenge. Thanks you for being so supportive and coming by every day. You are the very best,George. Huge hugs! I promise to catch up soon.
Mel, I was excited about it as well, but I ended up very disappointed.
If I have to be honest, I really miss you around, but at the same time I know how busy you schedule is lately, so everything's fine. ;)
I have to apologize that I still haven't mail you back. Big hugs for you too, sweetheart.
I loved Fresnadillo's 28 Weeks Later, that's why I was pretty excited when I first heard of Intruders - unfortunately, what I've seen so far looks a bit unimaginative, and the reviews are all mediocre. meh...
Maynard, so did I. Most Spanish directors have a great sense of visual style and they almost never disappoint me. They're great storytellers too. :) I was super excited about this one cause I'm a huge Owen fan, but like with Haute Tension and numerous other 'twisty' horrors, the ending KILLED it for me.
I enjoyed it about as much as you did.
Maynard, so that means you didn't? :)
