Never liked martial arts films with comedy in its main menu coz they're cheesy, odd, silly, very annoying and unfunny at all.
I completely disagree, Jaccsy. What about "Kung Fu Hustle", "Flirting Scholar", "Legend of Drunken Master" etc.??? None of those is 'cheesy, odd, silly, very annoying and unfunny' :)
Kung Fu Hustle and Legend of Drunken Master were far more than a comedy film, comedy is in the menu but not the main one. In my comment above I said martial arts films with comedy as its main menu. About Flirting Scholar, yes it was cheesy at best, never liked it also all its cronies.
Kung Fu Hustle was great!
It sounds better than the movie I reviewed tonight, that's for sure.
Then what was the main menu in Kung Fu Hustle, Jaccsy? It was comedy, but a smart, witty and hilarious comedy. Drunken Master was more of a martial arts flick rather than pure comedy mixed with kung fu. 'Flirting Scholar' for me is one of the best cheesy flicks ever. I absolutely loved it.
Great? Alex, it was absolutely amazing! :) So creative, unique and cartoonishly entertaining. It's holding 8th position on my TOP 10 MOVIES OF ALL TIME list. I'm crazy about "Kung Fu Hustle". I've seen it 5 times, I confess. :)
