Quick Review: Neither funny, nor creepy enough to be successful, yet delightfully off-beat and oddly goofy, this wacky zombie comedy stands out with a few bright ideas such as the undead craving more for coffee and wine, than for human flesh, and featuring a weirdo Scottish woman with a samurai sword to cut some zombie heads off, but that, a terrific ensemble cast, and decent dose of wit aside, "The Dead Don't Die" is a pretty lazy film with no purpose, bite, or ending for that matter.

[6.75/10] Late Night (2019)
Late Night (2019)
Quick Review: Elevated by Emma Thompson dominating performance and accompanied by Mindy Kaling's delightfully contrasting turn as the sweet and candid Molly, "Late Night" is a clever, witty and moving comedy with as much heart as laughs that not only reveals the off-air process of a creating a talks show, but also works on a dramatic and emotional level, concerning such subjects as slut-shaming and workplace sexism, yet conveying passion, dedication, remorse, and sympathy.

[7.25/10] IT Chapter Two (2019)
IT Chapter Two (2019)
Quick Review: Overlong, full of far too many flashbacks and peaking in an anti-climatic, yet faithful third act, "Chapter Two" is inferior to the first technically and scares-wise, offering jump frights and dodgy CGI freaks, but the scenes displaying the fearful Pennywise will give you the chills, as SkarsgÄrd is at his creepiest here, plus the amount of heart it possess, the spot-on sense of humor and wit, and the perfect casting of the older 'Losers', especially Hader, make this one a worthy conclusion.

[4.50/10] Share (2019)
Share (2019)
Quick Review: Sluggishly-paced, uneventful, and not as disturbing as it thinks it is, this grim high-school drama has some stylish grittiness about its looks, but other than that it's simply a dull and lifeless teen affair without any emotional impact and focus, whose young female star seems very miscast and unsuitable for the role of the indecent Mandy, despite her fine acting, but the film's biggest problems remain the lack of any proper intrigue or tension, and "Share"'s off-putting feel.

[5.75/10] Falling Inn Love (2019)
Falling Inn Love (2019)
Quick Review: Set against the real pretty backdrop of rural NZ, whose unique nature and easy-breezy feel enchants the eye, this lighthearted rom-com is visually-captivating, and featuring a charming cast who add more sense of delightful warmness, plus, the whole renovation process with its ups and downs is kinda fun, but the corny, often forced romance combined with Milian's over-the-top acting, bring "Falling Inn Love" down to an instantly forgettable escapism of feel-good mediocrity.

[7.00/10] Angel of Mine (2019)
Angel of Mine (2019)
Quick Review: Thought-provoking, highly intense, vastly unsettling, and full of psychological thrills, "Angel of Mine" finely hazes the line between paranoia and possibility, taking you on one troubled and grieving mom's journey of obsession, determination and despair, driven by the brilliantly devoted turn form the wildly talented Rapace, whose anxious character's baffling blind-belief-turned-likelihood story plays with your mind as well as your nerves, right until the shocking, deeply emotional climax.

[6.00/10] Itsy Bitsy (2019)
Itsy Bitsy (2019)
Quick Review: Less backstory and more gore would've worked in favor, but the rather un-cheesy "Itsy Bitsy" blends real-life struggles, terror, and horror fiction finely enough to make you simultaneously care about the insecure single mom Kara and her well-portrayed kids, but also creep you out with its mythological giant spider of a creature, ably executed with old school practical effects for more realism, and the final result is a tad too serious, yet fairly fun little creeper with some heart.

[5.50/10] Angel Has Fallen (2019)
Angel Has Fallen (2019)
Quick Review: With its trite 'they set me up' setup that degrades the plot to a TV show level of banality, "Angel Has Fallen" is a 'we've seen it all before' political thriller actioner with foreseeable twists, murky tone, loads of violence, and little sense, but this mediocre third entry in the series still has some entertainment value about itself, thanks to Butler's charisma, Nolte's show-stopper turn, and some well-executed action with grand explosions, notably the flashy 'drone attack' set piece.

[5.25/10] Long Lost (2019)
Long Lost (2019)
Quick Review: Featuring just three characters, and taking place in one location, this indie erotic thriller may seem a bit limited, but "Long Lost" gives you the feeling that something wrong is going to happen sooner or later, though when it does, it's a bit of a let down, but the movie still delivers the chills, mostly thanks to the tense borther-brother-girlfriend relationship that enters some dark territories further on, as well Tucci's disturbing turn as the repressive, and controlling Richard.

[5.50/10] The White Crow (2019)
The White Crow (2019)
Quick Review: Set in early '60s St. Petersburg and Paris, it represents the time period both beautifully and credibly, and its Russian flavor gives it a further sense of authenticity, but this semi-engaging real-life story of ballet sensation Nureyev's defection to the West surely won't appeal to male audiences due to its subject matter, and queery undertones, not to say that the protagonist is too selfish and arrogant to be likable, regardless Oleg Ivenko's devoted, if spark-less performance.

[6.75/10] In Fabric (2019)
In Fabric (2019)
Quick Review: Delightfully bizarre, highly unconventional, and surreally one-of-a-kind, if a bit too laid-back and lacking any sort of tension, this conceptually unique horror about a curse red dress with evil intentions doesn't have a single 'boo' or other scare, or any gross-out imagery, but relies purely on its eerie tone and haunting atmosphere, which along with the stylish visuals, refined '70s vintage feel, and artsy cuts make "In Fabric" a quietly chilling visual fairy tale of extravagant terror.

[3.50/10] Jacob's Ladder (2019)
Jacob's Ladder (2019)
Quick Review: Pointless, soulless, and having no reason to exist, this poorly-scripted and shoddy remake not only is million miles away from the mind-bending complexity of the 1990 original with its caricature of a rushed, nonsensical plot filled with meh-inspiring twists, lack of genuine sense of unease, and suffering from absolutely zero entertainment value, but "Jacob's Ladder" fails to bring one worthy idea to stand on its own, leaving its decent cast to cope with all the mess on screen.

[8.25/10] Ready or Not (2019)
Ready or Not (2019)
Quick Review: As darkly goofy and thrillingly fun, as it's brutally savage and subversively twisted, this gore- soaked and grotesque mayhem of a film with satirical social commentary on power, wealth, and family values, and a touch of occultism may be the deadliest 'hide and seek' game ever put on screen, set out to keep you on your toes with its edgy feel, non- stop tensity and Weaving's furiously badass turn, but also captivate your eyes with its toned-down, gold-tinted slick and stylish visuals.

[6.25/10] Good Boys (2019)
Good Boys (2019)
Quick Review: Playing around with child innocence in an outrageous, if hilarious manner, by offering tons of raunchfest humor, kid-inappropriate jokes, and scandalous situations to shock you out and make you burst into laughter, without compromising on the juvenile charm of its adorably geeky trio of lads who become more likable the badder they grow, "Good Boys" gets weary in its profanity at some point, but it makes up for that with surprising amount of heart and an emotional conclusion.

[6.75/10] Wild Rose (2019)
Wild Rose (2019)
Quick Review: With far more edgy, authentic, and grounded approach at the fairly tired a road-to-stardom scenario, and a-star-is-born turn by Buckley as the troubled, yet spirited, passionate and ambitious UK-based country singer, "Wild Rose" gives an in-depth look at Rose's struggles at balancing her dream career and re- building a bond with her family, but unlike her, the script finely balances drama, comedy and music to deliver one uplifting, moving and funny film, fully in-tune with it itself.

[5.50/10] The Rookies (2019)
The Rookies (2019)
Quick Review: Most of the parkour -like stunts are fun and spectacular to look at, the chases are thrilling as well, and HK and Bucharest settings are attractive enough to engage the eye, but this extreme sportsman- turned-special agent crime comedy never manages to balance well the genres it aims to fit in, being pretty unintriguing plot-wise and just mildly amusing in terms of humor, with Jovovich giving a stiff turn as Bruce -- a dull character with superb fight skills and no personality.

[3.50/10] Sextuplets (2019)
Sextuplets (2019)
Quick Review: As lame, sleazy and dumbass as a comedy can get, this is yet another hideous collaboration between director Tiddes and actor Marlon Wayans, with the latter being more irritating than ever due to his multiple 7-role turn, taking 90% of the screen time with a 'varied' acting that ranges from annoyingly over-the-top to outrageously unbearable, and that along with the cheap plot, revolting slapstick, and stereotyped characters make "Sextuplet" "White Chicks"-level miserable.

[6.00/10] Otherhood (2019)
Otherhood (2019)
Quick Review: Though neither that emotional or moving, nor particularly hilarious, this dramedy about three middle aged suburb mothers trying to reconnect with their mature sons is as harmless in its intentions as its consistently pleasurable and often fun to watch, thanks to the vigorous chemistry between its three talented leads and the comic situations their sympathetic characters face along the way, with the NYC surroundings fresh visual element as a backdrop for the sentimental story.
