Quick Review: A modern take on the classic 'sword in the stone' story with a coming-of-age twist, "The Kid Who Would Be King" doesn't blend contemporary reality with medieval elements very smoothly, due to the cheesy CGI effects and some insipid direction decisions, but this juvenile and rather corny fantasy flick has a charming young cast and a strong sense of adventure, besides, it goes pretty wild and fun in its energetic, over-the-top closing act.

The blending and cheesy CGI makes me hesitant on this one.
Alex, those were exactly its problems.
