Quick Review: Grimmer, gloomier, grittier, and more mature than the last two, but also more joyless and lackluster in execution, "The Death Cure" is a mildly satisfying finale to the trilogy that intends to thrill with some immense set pieces, flawless visual effects, and a few surprises along the way, but the clue in the title gives away the big twist from the get go, plus, all the tragic events in the generally formulaic plot darken it further, if unnecessarily.
