Quick Review: A pretty fascinating real life-based story about an airline pilot-turned rich drug dealer-turned CIA helper, told in a stylish fashion, and thankfully with an edge instead of cheese, "American Made" is bold, amusing, engrossing, and fairly taut, only losing some of its steam in the middle. The vintage looks along with the vibrant color palette complement the sharp direction, but what makes the movie successful is Tom Cruise, who absolutely embodies his cheeky and confident character.
