[7.00/10] The Girl on the Train (2016)

The Girl on the Train (2016)

Quick Review: Being very moody, peculiar in tone, and a bit confusing in the beginning, Taylor's adaptation relies mostly on Blunt's exceptional turn as the troubled Rachel, whose presence draws you in, in spite of the film's tonal issues, but as soon as the 'mystery' takes center stage in the story, the movie becomes a grippingly intricate, oddly great, and unpredictable thriller that connects its three female characters in a way you wouldn't see coming.

After seeing Gone Girl, I was hesitant about this one.

The two films are similar in tone, and though Gone Girl is better, this one is worth checking out as well.
