Quick Review: Helmed once again by Wan, who continues to show his ability to spread dread with skill and style, by utilizing camera techniques and optical tricks that emphasize the feel and the atmosphere of the film, "The Conjuring 2" is a very effective and outstandingly-acted sequel that easily handles various supernatural elements, generating tension, bone- chilling jolts, and proper scares, and displaying imagery so horrifying and diabolically sinister, they'll make you bawl. Beware of the Nun!

I thought it was really effective, plus the actors all turned in great performances. What I like best about this series - evil doesn't win.
Agreed. They did, especially Madison Wolfe, who stole the show for me.
Well, evil should win from time to time, otherwise it all becomes a bit predictable. :)
And I thought the original Conjuring was awesome, this sequel surprised me in all the good ways! Now I'm hyped up for more Conjuring films and Wan's upcoming Light's Out! (I love the original short, so with him involved with a feature length version of the short? Insert girly squee here)
Me too! :) It quickly became one of my all-time post-2000 favorite horror films.
Excited about it as well, though I haven't seen the short film. Should I? :)
