One blogfest, four favorites!
List your favorite genre of:
Movie
Music
Books
And a guilty pleasure genre from any of the three categories!
*****
*****
My favorite movie genre: Horror
I've always had a soft spot for horror... ever since I was a kid. I've seen hundreds if not thousands of horror flicks, and I enjoy everything from zombies, vampires, werewolves, demons, ghosts and monsters to occult, supernatural, slashers, psychological, serial killers and even torture porn. I guess these facts are good enough to consider myself a pure horror movie buff.
*****
My favorite music genre: Progressive House
Well, I like all sorts of music, but house music and progressive house in particular, will always have a special place in my heart. I just love the beat, the rhythm, and the fact that it brings me joy, gives me a huge adrenaline rush, and makes my heart pounding along with the beat.
*****
My favorite book genre: Fantasy
I confess, I'm not the biggest reader in the world. Not that I don't enjoy reading books, I just don't have the time, considering I have a full-time job and tons of movies to watch and review. Anyway, Fantasy books are so my cup of tea, because they take me into a different world, and make my imagination run wild.
*****
My guilty pleasure (movie) genre: Chick Flicks
Being a movie freak, I had to go with a film-related guilty pleasure of mine. Shocker! Now to the point... I secretly enjoy some chick flicks. Most of these are cheesy, cliched, formulaic, corny, and overly sentimental, but there are some really good ones, that can be enjoyed by girls and guys alike, and they're fun to watch, especially with your girlfriend.

If chick flicks and romantic comedies are the same, then we share guilty pleasures!
Thanks for participating in my blogfest, George.
Alex, they're basically the same. :)
My pleasure!
I'm glad I found your blog.
Very interesting.
I have a blog myself where I write on acting and other related themes.
Cheers!

I love your list~ Wow chick flicks...you sound so fun to hang with :D
Jay, glad you found it too.
I'm gonna check your blog out right away. :)
Thank you, Ella.
Yeah, I'm not one of those guys who can't stand chick flicks, so I guess I'm fun to hang with. LOL.
So many of us love the romantic comedy. I prefer the British ones best. Nice to meet you, George. I'm a new follower via Alex's bloghop!
chick flicks, wait what... romance are about the same in my head. i find i don't like stuff unless something blows up or has some type of dwarf in them... maybe a leprechaun.

Nice to meet you too, Nancy. Thanks for the follow. I'll follow back right away.
We certainly do, but not many of us, especially guys, have the guts to admit it. LOL. And I agree, British ones are the best!
Jeremy, I have my preferences as well, but I try not to be prejudiced, therefore I give every movie genre a chance. And believe me, there are some really great chick flicks, that even a tough guy like you would like. :)
I've seen a lot of bloggers with romantic comedies as their guilty pleasure category today. I'm not all that guilty about them, but I sure do agree with your taste :)
Your choices are awesome, especially the horror. I nearly went with horror, but realized that more of my fave films are in sci fi and fantasy. And that pic of Regan as the Mona Lisa is brilliant, sweetie. :)
I knew you loved to shake your groove thing to house. It is a fun genre of music and I will bounce my boogie shoes to a few tunes.
Chick flicks is great guilty pleasure. I love some of them, too. :)
S. L. Hennessy, we are guilty about them, because we are guys. It's simple as that. :)
Glad you liked my picks! :)
Mel, that pic is awesome, isn't it?:)
And I almost went with martial arts, as most of my favorite movies are from this genre. By the way, is there a Tarantino genre? Just asking. LOL.
House music is my thing, and you know it. ;)
Chick flicks are cool. I mean... The Devil Wears Prada for instance... what not to like?! :)
Nothing wrong with a good rom-com. A bad rom-com can be torture Jeremy.
Maurice, absolutely. :)
So you enjoy good rom-coms like me?:) That's very encouraging. :)
so far the only chick flick i enjoyed was "Love Story" and "Nights in Rodanthe"
Fantasy books are great. They really do open up your imagination!
The Golden Eagle, indeed. That's why I love them so much. Thanks for the comment.
We definitely share a common affinity for films save for the chick flicks. Those are my guilty displeasures. lol
Yeah, I suppose if I watched and reviewed films all the time I wouldn't be reading as often. If you ever find that you have to wait (appointments, etc), you might try downloading the free Kindle app on your smart phone, tablet or iPad. It helps a lot to pass the time.
Cheers.
Kaijinu, haven't seen either of these. I guess they're good. :)
Jeremy, glad we share the same guilty pleasures. :)
I hope it didn't sound as an excuse not to read books, but that's the truth.
Thanks for the tip and the comment, Jeremy. ;)
