QuickRating: More violent than funny and more nasty than harsh, "Goon" is a crude sports comedy that may have a big heart, but the sincerity of its human (not humane) characters and Sean William Scott's surprisingly engaging performance can't save this movie from being a so-so slapstick comedy with lots of blood, but very few laughs, made strictly for hockey fans, who will be the only one to fully enjoy the mess that's happening on screen.

Nice round-up of quick ratings. I appreciate your viewing efforts because I've not seen any of these movies. Goon does look like a fun albeit dim-witted little sports romp.
Great work, George :)
Thanks Matty. Glad you enjoyed these. :) I love to quickrate movies. It's so much fun. Goon has its moments, but overall I wasn't impressed with it.
I had heard surprisingly good things about this, but I'm still not desperate to see it.
Russ, critics' reviews were surprisingly positive, but I loved it as much as I hated it.
LOL I think you are probably talking to me when you say only hockey fans would enjoy this. I love my Blackhawks and I have a big mouth during games. I think I just might like this one. :)
Mel, I had no idea you're a fan of this game. I'm not at all. :)
