QuickRating: Bad news for all creature feature fans. Koreans most anticipated movie of 2011 ended up being monsterously disappointing. Its premise is promising, the choice of location is rather brilliant and the sea creature itself is impressively designed and has a unique look, but "Sector 7" is completely ruined by a by-the-number script, utter lack of thrills, lots of pointless scenes, and Ji-hun Kim's dull, messy and terribly unimaginative direction.

This was not on my radar, but it sounds like I should be happy it was not. You took another one for the team, it seems, my dear. :)
Hope you had a spectacular Christmas, hon. I had loads of fun that I will have to share with you.
Mel, I'm sucker for creature features, and I loved 2008's Korean monster movie The Host, but this one was so freaking lame..
Thanks, sweetie. I had a wonderful Christmas with my family and friends and now I'm looking forward to New Year's Eve. :)
I actually had some hopes for Sector 7, until I saw a teaser or trailer which was so full with lame-looking CGI, it was laughable.
One of the worst movies of the year for sure. It was THAT bad.
Aww, that's too bad. I haven't heard of this film but I can imagine the disappointment after the hype. It's good to hear that the creature was designed nicely though. Usually that is where the faults lie.
Maynard, and I had huge hopes about this one, as it was presented as the Korean Alien. WTF? Not even close! LOL. The CGIs were okay, but the story and acting both were horrendous.
FilmPuff, I can't agree more. One or two decent scenes aside, it was terrible.
Nicole, the creature was kinda unique, but it couldn't save the movie from being lame. :)
I ALMOST caught this in 3D when it was screening at my region some months ago. Thank goodness!
J-Son, thank God you missed this one. It was pretty horrendous.
