Quick Review: As relevant as it is gimmicky, this 'social media' horror uses Facebook as its main tool for success in an impertinent way, but it never manages to benefit from that, as it has so much going on about itself, it loses control on the various horror elements it's trying to handle, resulting in huge supernatural mess with cyber twist that fails to generate any proper tension. There are some effective 'jump' scares, and sinister imagery, but those barely make up for its many other flaws.

I've never even heard of this film.
Alex, you haven't missed out much.
the fact that this movie has too much similarity with the better and more effective Unfriended didn't help to impress me.
the supernatural angle has some neat concepts but not enough to make up for the predictable story and dull kills.
Unfriended was definitely better, though it had issues of its own as well. Friend Request was a complete mess though. Didn't scare me a bit!
