Quick Review: Unnecessarily over dramatic more often then it should, and way too cheesy to be taken seriously, "Dragon Blade" is a wildly uneven historical Asian drama with two major American stars, designed to please western audiences also, even if that is unlikely to happen, as apart from some wonderfully staged swordplay, the movie has nothing to flaunt with, because of its below-par direction, sluggish script, and lack of consistency. And, let's face it, Chan is too old for this stuff.

He is getting old. Not as bad as putting Harrison Ford in an action film, but he's getting up there. Will pass on this one.
He looked tired in this film. And all that melodrama makes it annoying to watch. Make sure you skip this one.
