Quick Review: Most definitely a big step down from the tense and grim "Catching Fire", "Mockingjay Part 1" often feels like an entrée, before the main course, even if it still has its moments of exciting spectacle, as it's overall a rather slow and quiet set up for the hopefully better "Part 2", lacking in action, sheer intensity and big thrills, and relying mostly on human drama, and Jen Lawrence's tendency to almost overact in order to evoke some emotion.

I really like Lawrence as an actress. She was brilliant in American Hustle. But I've found her character in this series severely lacking emotion.
And I don't. I actually consider her the most overrated young actress in recent memory.
That's exactly my point, Alex... she tries way too hard to be emotional, and it comes across as forced.
I've been waiting long to go see this and I still haven't seen it! Really excited to see it
Jason, don't be too excited, though. Just sayin'.. ;)
