QuickRating: Eddie Murphy does an adequate job considering his voiceless character and the poor script he's been given to work with, Kerry Washington is gorgeous and alluring as usual, and there are a couple of sweet moments, but apart from that, "A Thousand Words" is just another predictable, laughless comedy with a ludicrous premise and tons of flat jokes, that probalby ranks as one of its main star worst movies ever, if not the worst.

Eddie Murphy hasn't had comedy gold in about a decade, maybe more. Aside from the Shrek films, of course. I have no desire to see this and can only marvel at how you managed to sit through it, hon.:)
So what did you think of my hidden talent? :) Glad you love my roomie's kitties. They are adorable girls.
Mel, exactly. Every post-2000 Murphy movie is a disaster and this one is not an exception. I've seen worse though.
OMG, I didn't comment on your hidden talent? Am I an idiot or what?! LOL.
I loved those cats!:)
This is a movie that seemed to have an interesting premise - until learning that it was from the same director as "Good Burger" and "Norbitt"
Alex, it sounds okay on paper, but it sucks completely execution-wise. Avoid at all costs.
let's face it, Eddie Murphy's losing it. Comedy that is.
Kaijinu, I couldn't agree more. Murphy lost his touch completely.
