QuickRating: Dreamy, charmingly nostalgic and delightfully surreal, if certainly not one of Woody Allen's most profound and accomplished achievements, "Midnight in Paris" is a funny, yet sophisticated comedy that embraces the beauty of the glorious city of Paris, as well as the joy of life and art of love, plus, it boasts the most dazzling and exquisite cinematography this year, and excellent performances from the enchantingly appealing cast.

Everyone keeps talking about this film - guess I need to watch it sometime.
Alex, I doubt you're gonna like it, but I think your wife might. :)
I normally do not like Woody Allen, Mighty Aphrodite is an exception, but this take place in my favorite city in the world so I feel obligated to watch. Plus, it features some of my favorite historical people so I will have to watch this. I love your review and I will probably have similar thoughts.
Mel, I'm a fan of Allen an his work. He's one of the most controversial directors out there, and that's what I love about him. Matchball blew me away. It was brilliant.
Yep, Hemingway, Monet, Picasso, Fitzgerald are all in there, and all of them are hilarious.
Thanks, sweetheart.
I cannot wait to see this movie. It will not play here in the islands so it will be Netflix for me. Ugh!
farawayeyes, I won't spoil anything for you then. :) It was magical!
This is one of those movies I wasn't exactly looking forward to...but I finally got around to watching it. And really enjoyed it. Definitely one of Woody Allen's best modern films. Great review!
M. Hufstader, I disagree that MIP is one of Allen's best films, but it's definitely one of his funniest. :)
Thank you so much. Glad you liked my review.
I'm so glad you liked this film as well!! It was such a dream and absolutely magical. It really takes you on such an amazing adventure. Gotta love Woody Allen. Lovely review-spot on!
Great review, George. I loved this film. You'll be happy to see it in my Top Ten List. It was a delicious blend of comedy and romance, and the literary spirit that evolved from its center was most impressive. Woody Allen declared: He is back.
P.S. I'm a stickler for the Roaring Twenties. Such an incredible, riveting period in the history of the world.
Nicole, although I enjoyed Matchball and Vicky Cristina Barcelona a lot more, I still liked this magical Paris-inspired charming movie. Allen showed us another different side of him. Ah, I love this guy. :)
Thanks.
Matty, thank you so much, pal. I really, really liked this one and I continue to think that Allen is an underrated genius. :)
The 20's are almost century away, but still a very influential era. I love it too.
Hmmm, still not sure about this one.
Ricky, skip it if you're not an Allen fan.
