Quick Review: In all honesty, it may not be as brilliantly accomplished and profoundly engrossing as Tate Taylor's previous feature, "The Help", but its convoluted plot structure aside, "Get on Up" is a groovy, funky, passionate and tastefully-shot biopic with amazing production values, bursting in visual and musical authenticity, and powered by a top-notch cast, led by Boseman's truly remarkable performance as the iconic James Brown, who fully inhabits his character and turns the movie from good to really outstanding.
