Quick Review: MacFarlane and Theron’s on-screen chemistry is as strong as it’s sweet, the so-so script provides some goofy laughs along the way, and it’s nice to see Liam Neeson playing the bad guy for a change, but “A Million ways to Die in the West” is a self-deluded western comedy, thinking it’s bright, witty and hysterically hilarious, that it’s in fact only occasionally amusing, and not half as entertaining or well-executed as it could have been.
