Of the four I've seen - Arrival, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, and Hidden Figures - that's the order I would rate them. And you're right - Hacksaw should win but I fear a LaLa sweep.
ReplyDeleteI thought Arrival was fantastic, but there was something missing for me. Hacksaw Ridge on the other hand surprised me big time, especially in its second half. And it was so well-made.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick and tired of La La Land. It's a good movie, but it got more credit than it should have.
No desire to see Moonlight or La La Land, but I loved Hidden Figures and Hacksaw Ridge. Sometimes real life is more powerful than made up.
