Quick Review: Korine certainly has color sensation and specific style, as her latest effort is a tastefully- shot film that captures the eye with its lurid visuals, plus, McConaughey gives it his all in a dedicated turn as the reckless rebel, but in the end "The Beach Bum" is a purposeless, moody, pretentious and dull comedy devoid of any humor that gives a shallow look at bohemian lifestyle, and suffers from erratic editing and overly stylized direcion that make it further more unpleasant.
Definitely a pass for me.
