[6.75/10] The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

Quick Review: Delightfully spooky, darkly enchanting, often funny, and demonstrating Roth's flair for horror, "The House with a Clock in Its Walls" is a well-balanced blend of humor, fantasy, and frights that will appeal to all ages, as there's something for everyone, indeed -- from the superb chemistry-driven cast and the lovely vintage vibe, to the flashy CGIs and fun scares, this well-crafted juvenile adventure is just equally as magical, entertaining and creepy.

  1. My parents actually went to see it and really enjoyed it. Said Jack Black was hilarious.

  2. Fun fact: I ended up seeing this as a coin-flip result. It was either this or The Nun. After seeing The Nun eventually, I'm surprisingly happy I lost that coin toss.
