It's also one of my all time favorite movies. His visual style is remarkable, indeed. I won't comment on del Toro, well, at least until tomorrow :)George Beremov [Nebular]https://www.blogger.com/profile/15136154142341512854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902350714271321235.post-26454805764684585162011-01-10T15:03:26.039-08:002011-01-10T15:03:26.039-08:00Sam Raimi looks like he is about to kill someone! ...Sam Raimi looks like he is about to kill someone! Did Bruce Campbell break his car again? I don't think I could have told you that "Dead by Dawn" was the subtitle for Evil Dead 2, definitely better than the original though.

Not seen Shallow Grave?! Great film. A very young-looking Ewan McGregor and Christopher Eccleston who I think is also superb.

I also love Jean-Pierre Jeunet; Amelie is one of my all time favourite films. You are spot on with "remarkable visual style"; I think the only guy who could give him a run for his money would be Guillermo del Toro.

Interested to see who your top ten are.filmrrusshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08242906606942840491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902350714271321235.post-87277600642927006052011-01-10T14:19:03.437-08:002011-01-10T14:19:03.437-08:00I'm more into new wave type of directors, rath...I'm more into new wave type of directors, rather than the classic ones like Edwards.
