[6.75/10] The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

Quick Review: Delightfully spooky, darkly enchanting, often funny, and demonstrating Roth's flair for horror, "The House with a Clock in Its Walls" is a well-balanced blend of humor, fantasy, and frights that will appeal to all ages, as there's something for everyone, indeed -- from the superb chemistry-driven cast and the lovely vintage vibe, to the flashy CGIs and fun scares, this well-crafted juvenile adventure is just equally as magical, entertaining and creepy.

My parents actually went to see it and really enjoyed it. Said Jack Black was hilarious.

Fun fact: I ended up seeing this as a coin-flip result. It was either this or The Nun. After seeing The Nun eventually, I'm surprisingly happy I lost that coin toss.

Kaijinu, lol... well put! It was definitely better than The Nun, that's for sure. ;)
