[5.00/10] Extinction (2018)

Extinction (2018)

Quick Review: Built entirely on the curveball it throws in the beginning of the third act, and hinting at some concerning themes the future might bring, considering the advancement of biorobotics, "Extinction" deserves points for its scientific concept and on-paper ambition, but then again, the film's unpleasant tone, generic direction, and lack of truly emotional moments and capably-staged action sequences makes it a mediocre sci-fi experience with a heavy touch of sentimental family drama.

In other words a quick cash grab.
