Quick Review: Part time travel sci- fi, part doomed romance, unevenly connected in one almost fairy tale- ish story of love, moral, honor, and bravery, "The Lovers" is undeniably gorgeous to look at due to stunning locations it is set in, plus, Bipasha Basu gives an alluring performance that makes the whole experience at least occasionally entertaining, but other than that, Roland Joffé's latest is a lifeless and often cheesy affair that doesn't possess the emotional impact it aims to deliver.
