[3.50/10] Area 407 (2012)

Area 407 a.k.a.
Tape 407 (2012)

QuickRating: Although it sounds somewhat promising on paper, the one dimensional characters, poor production values, clumsy camera work, cheesy special effects and truly unimaginative script quickly put Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin's lazy, lackluster effort into the 'found footage at its very worst' category. There's a lot of screaming, shouting and chaos in "Area 407", but barely any scares and suspense.

Yet another movie that I'm going to have to begrudgingly steer clear of. Thanks for the heads-up, George!

Matty, you're welcome. And you should definitely avoid this piece of carp.

This sounds just awful. Looks like you took a blow to the head for the rest of us. :)

Mel, the first time I heard about this one I was very excited, but it turned out pure rubbish.

Thanks for the quick rating on Area 407, George. I have a weekly contest with a couple of my coworkers at DISH to see who can find the biggest ball of B Movie cheese. Area 407 might just be this weeks winner (loser?), so I added it to the top of my Blockbuster @Home movie queue. The winners for the last couple weeks have all been found footage films; this makes me think that Area 407 has a pretty good chance.

Edgar, there are plenty of terrible FF horrors out there, and this one is one of the worst I've seen in my life. But hey, if you and your mates want to see something lame shot in POV style, this is the one. :)
