[5.75/10] Rosewood Lane (2011)

Rosewood Lane (2011)

QuickRating: Not nearly as scary and intense as director Victor Salva's 2001 creepfest "Jeepers Creepers", but still watchable and fairly thrilling, "Rosewood Lane" is the perfect example of how to make a decent and effective horror movie with a quite limited budget. The charismatic Rose McGowan does a solid job as the protagonist, and Ashton Moio gives an intimidating performance as the devilish villain.

as good as Jeepers Creepers is, but IMO it's far from being as awesome as his uber-masterpiece CLOWNHOUSE, one of my favorite horror movies of all time.
You may like it, it's a suspense-quasi-slasher with great acting, breathtaking atmopshere and a huge amount of awesome suspense.

No, Maynard, it's not half as fun as JC is. Haven't seen Clownhouse. Is it really that good? Hm, I shell check it out then.

Neb, go see Clownhouse now. Your missing a lot of fun! XD

Eithereays, Rosewood Lane was okay, kept me watching, but it's a little silly at some points. (the dog chase scene? I LOL!)

Kaijinu, I downloaded it last night and I'll give it a shot this week. You and Maynard both convinced me to check it out. :) Thanks for that.

'Okay' is the perfect word to describe Rosewood Lane. :)

veeery excited to hear what you think of Clownhouse. You may not like it as much as I did, but you may end up pretty satisfied :)

I like Salva, and clowns give me the creeps, so I'll definitely check it out. Downloaded it last night and will give it a shot in the near future. ;) Thanks for the recommendation!

no problem, mate! a word of warning though, it's a bit "tamer" than your average slasher

Kaijinu, not the biggest slasher fan, so tamer sounds good to me. :)
