CineMarvellous Preview: Action-Packed First Trailer for "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation"

Action-Packed First Trailer for
G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation

Back in 2009, "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" ended up being a guilty pleasure for many action junkies out there, including me, as it was pure mindless entertainment, filled with explosive action and flashy visuals. The fans of the franchise should be happy, because next summer we'll all witness the "Retaliation"! The first super-cool trailer of the upcoming sequel is already out, and it promises that "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" will be a lot of fun, just like its predecessor. Check it out below.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, and starring Channing Tatum and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Yay!), this sequel revolves around the G.I. Joe team, which faces off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.

"G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" hits US theaters on June 29, 2012.

Huh, I didn't think there would be a G. I. Joe 2. We'll see how it goes. My ex husband's little brother is going to be in this movie, so we'll have to see it just for that.

Caledonia, and I sincerely hoped there will be one, because I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie. :) I'm into it as well and I can't wait to see it.

For me, the first one was 'eh.' This looks like they are taking it a little more serious. After The Rock's success in Fast Five, he'd a good choice for the lead. Although I have to confess - what won me over was Bruce Willis in the end!

Alex, many people didn't like it, probably because it was silly and too over-the-top, but I was so entertained by it, I couldn't blink. :)

The Rock is a dude, and I love him.
As for Bruce Willis, well, not a big fan of him at all, and I doubt that his appearance would excite me. Still have to see "Fast Five".

I didn't realize a sequel was under development (insert sarcasm because it made good money the first time around). Didn't particularly enjoy the first (actually thoroughly disliked it), but your enthusiasm excites me. Maybe it's worth a shot.

I'll see this for the Rock. Went to sleep during the first one, I was bored as hell. A ten dollar nap. It has to do with Channing Tatum. He puts me to sleep no matter what he does. I just cannot get into the guy. And he's not bad, I don't know what it is. He's like my personal brand of sleeping pill. Trouble sleeping, I put in a Channing Tatum movie. LOL

Hey hey this looks pretty awesome!! I think I'm a bit pumped for this actually!! I honestly can't remember if I liked the first one but it doesn't really matter because this looks pretty entertaining. : )

Matty, you didn't? Well, I'm gonna lie if I was the first one wasn't silly, but I enjoyed it big time.
I'll definitely check out the sequel on the big screen as I think it will be worth it.

Mel, I love the Rock. He's incredibly sympathetic and has a strong screen presence.

I'll tell you what's wrong with Channing. He's mesmerizing, but in a sleepy sort of way, if you know what I mean. LOL. I like him, but his acting is mostly meh. Hey, some pretty 'handsome' sleeping pills you have there. LOL.

Nicole, it does. Definitely. I'm excited about it myself, coz I love CGI-heavy action fantasy flicks with cool gadgets. Give the first one a shot.. again. It will entertain you for sure.

So...I suppose I should watch the first one, huh?

Joshua, you should see the first one only if you like silly over the top stuff. :)

I didn't catch the first, but maybe I should now.

Thanks for the share! :D

J-Son, the first one was cheesy fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't expect too much though.
