[4.50/10] Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011)

Wrong Turn 4:
Bloody Beginnings (2011)

QuickRating: This straight-to-DVD prequel/sequel to the 2003 horror hit "Wrong Turn" is pointless, stupid, ridiculous, formulaic, badly-crafted and horribly-acted, which isn't a surprise. Having said that, "Wrong Turn 4" is nowhere nearly as terrible as its dreadfully unwatchable predecessor, it's fun to watch, and it features tons of blood, guts, gore and ripped body parts, enough to satisfy every 'gorehound' in the audience.

There's nothing like watching pretty people get all chopped up. Pass the popcorn, I'm in. ;)

Oh that sucks, I was hoping this would be good. I enjoy the other Wrong Turns even though they are kind of crap. So I might still have to give it a shot especially since you said it's gory! I love a horror film with some gore. Lovely reviews yet again!! : )

Mel, LOL. So true! It's so much fun watching pretty people get slaughtered by a bunch of freaks. :)

Nicole, if you liked the previous 3 films, you'll love this one as well. It's better than 2 & 3 put together. The original film is a pure classic, but the sequels are just plain bad.

Sorry, looks like you've watched a stream of duds lately.

Alex, it's okay. I don't mind watching craps at times. I love to review both bad and good movies. :)

sometime in the next few months I will try to watch all 4 Wrong Turns back to back for a review.
Don't remember them all too good but, apart from the fact that I loved Part 2 more than Part 1

Maynard, really? I thought part 2 was mediocre at best. Loved the first movie! Actually, I was planning the re-watch it this week. Not sure if I'll have the time to do it though.

Compared to the terrible part 3, Bloody Beginnings is a step in the right direction for the franchise.

yeah, dunno why. 2 entertained me a whole lot more.
However, it's long ago since I last saw Part 1 and I'm really curious about rewatching, especially since Michele claimed that it's one of her favorite horror movies of all time

Maynard, many people hated the original, but I liked every minute of it. Me and Michele are on the same page when speaking of Wrong Turn. We both love it. :)

I love the first film. I went to see it twice in the theater. It was a nicely crafted throwback to grandiose, slow build backwoods suspensers like JUST BEFORE DAWN and RITUALS to name two. The second one I thought was just stupid, but entertaining fluff. The third my mouth was agape at how horrible it was. Having seen the trailer for this one, I am wondering why they even bothered labeling this a WT movie when this could have been any number of the continued and tiresome series of slashers that are bombarding video shelves almost as fast as the straight to DVD zombie apocalypses.

venoms5, it seems we share the same opinion about the Wrong Turn franchise. To sum it up, the 4th is worse than the second, but definitely better than the third.
Last week I re-watched the original and enjoyed it a lot. Again. :)
