[6.00/10] Atrocious (2011)

Atrocious (2011)

QuickRating:
This Spanish 'found footage' horror flick is kind of a slow-burner, and despite its 75 min running time, it feels a bit too long and dragged out, because of its unimaginative plot, however, "Atrocious" delivers some believable performances, a couple of truly tense and chilling moments, and a shocking twist at the end, that not only works well, but also manages to make up for the screenplay's shortcomings.

After watching the trailer, I had a feeling that this would be something quite mediocre

Maynard, it was actually quite decent, apart from the rather boring middle part. I felt connected with the characters and enjoyed the twist at the end.

Sounds like an interesting Saturday nigh flick. I will have to check it out sometime. I like that there is a twist at the end.

Mel, it is, despite its weaknesses. The ending was like a punch in the face. I reckon you're gonna love it.

Haven't seen all your pics, but I agree with the ones I have seen.

Wendy, glad you agree :)

I was so mad because they showed the preview for this movie here and then never showed it. I'm kind of jealous that you got to see it. Sounds like its worth at least seeing!

HorrO, really? Why did they do that? It's rather stupid. I didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. It had its moments and the final sequence was a bit shocking.

ok, just seen it, didn't like it.

I did. I didn't see the twist coming, and I found it very disturbing. Poor kids.

I hated the endless walking-through-the-maze scenes - too boring, too tedious.
The twist was interesting but made no sense whatsoever, at least to me. Review tomorrow

I think you're too harsh on this one.

The endless walking-through-the-maze scenes were made, because the director wanted us to feel characters' panic and confusion.
The twist was great! :)
